Are you under pressure to deliver a modern experience for your existing portfolio of aging Lotus/IBM Notes applications? Do you have more than a handful of Notes applications that need some love? Are you going to be attending Connect 2014 later this month? If you answered YES to these three questions you are invited to take the Red Pill Challenge…
Simply come to Connect 2014 with a USB Drive with your favorite Notes client applications. Track down a member of Red Pill Development and request to take the Red Pill Challenge. We will take the applications and extend them with redpill Now and show you how little it takes to add both a mobile and responsive Web interface with full CRUD capabilities, domain wide searching, user notifications, workflow and feedback. If you are not impressed by the results we will buy you a round of drinks while you explain how we fell short. If you are satisfied, we will provide you with screen shots of the results so you can take them back to the office to share. We will even let you buy us a round of drinks to discuss how we might take the next steps to implement what you have seen. That’s right. Modernization for all your IBM Notes applications NOW.
Peter Presnell and Nathan Freeman will be at Connect for the entire week. We are pretty much available most of this time to take the challenge. Look for us in the passages of the Swan or Dolphin, the Showcase floor at the OpenNTF booth, in sessions, Kimono’s or the Beach Party. As long as we don’t blow “well” over the legal limit we will be happy to demonstrate how our technology can transform your Notes applications. If you would prefer, contact us ahead of time to reserve a time slot suitable to your schedule.
There are a few conditions necessary for the challenge:-
- The NSFs must not be encrypted or have their design hidden.
- The ACL should have an ACL entry for */REDPILL with Designer access
- Each application should have 100+ example documents
- You must be prepared to allow us to make a copy of the databases onto our own laptop for the duration of the challenge. We will happily delete them as soon as the challenge is finished.
- Yes, we know a few ways to make Notes databases almost impossible to read and understand, so don’t just try and make a point that you can create a Notes database that defies our design and data forensics. We can all save valuable time at Connect by just buying you a drink without going to all that trouble.
If you cannot make it to Connect you can still arrange to send us your databases and take the challenge remotely.
